Docusign will open its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server to every AI agent on September 30, granting Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Slack, and any MCP client the ability to search past negotiations, apply company policy, and execute agreements through natural language — without human handoffs at the signature step.

The company made the announcement on September 4, describing the product as an “agreement layer for the agentic enterprise.” The MCP Server wraps Docusign’s Iris AI engine, exposing agreement intelligence as natively callable tools inside any MCP-compatible agent runtime. Agents reach Iris through the MCP protocol rather than raw API calls, eliminating custom integration work per platform.
