xAI launched Grok Bot on August 11, 2026 — a team of persistent AI agents, each running on its own dedicated cloud computer, that signs into a business’s existing applications and completes multi-step tasks without human supervision.

Grok Bot is xAI’s first direct enterprise seat subscription, sold to businesses rather than developers. The product targets operations, sales, and HR teams that want automated workflows without requiring an IT administrator to configure them — the same buyer profile as Salesforce Agentforce and Microsoft Copilot Studio. xAI’s central differentiator is the removal of a workflow-builder step: a user onboards a Bot by walking through a task once, and the Bot saves it as a reusable routine, according to xAI’s August 11 launch announcement.

    How Grok Bot Works

Each Grok Bot agent runs on a dedicated cloud computer that navigates websites and enters data directly, without requiring an API connection to the target application. The agent continues working after the user closes their laptop and returns for human approval only when a judgment call is required. xAI describes the product as “a team of always-on AI agents that get their own cloud computer, sign into a customer’s existing tools, and finish multi-step jobs without being supervised.” Reworked.co notes that Grok Bot “does not require an enterprise IT team” — sign-in is handled by the agent itself via web automation, not via an API key issued by IT.

Which Business Tasks Grok Bot Handles

xAI has named 8 specific business use cases: sales outbound research and email drafting in each seller’s voice, CRM record updates from call transcripts, expense management, bug fixes, vendor negotiations, new-hire onboarding, invoice processing, and inbox triage. The sales outbound Bot “researches accounts overnight, scores contacts for intent, drafts emails and LinkedIn messages in each seller’s voice,” according to Beam.ai analysis of the product launch. The coverage spans three business departments — sales, operations, and HR — in a single subscription, a scope wider than most competing agent platforms at this price.

Pricing: $120 Per Seat Through Cursor

Grok Bot is not available as a standalone product. Access is bundled into two Cursor subscription tiers: Cursor Ultra at $200 per month, which includes extended AI tokens plus desktop and mobile access; and Cursor Teams Premium at $120 per seat per month, which adds SAML/OIDC single-sign-on, team analytics, and a shared marketplace. SuperGrok Heavy also includes Grok Bot access. Enterprise teams beyond these tiers must join a sales-led waitlist; no enterprise contract pricing is published. The product is available on desktop (Linux build posted publicly) and iOS — there is no browser-only version.

How Grok Bot Compares to Agentforce and Claudeforce

Grok Bot controls any application by operating a cloud computer directly and requires no integration work from IT. Salesforce’s Claudeforce, which embeds Claude directly inside Salesforce, operates within the CRM only — it cannot act on Gmail, Slack, or an external vendor portal without a separate connector. Microsoft Copilot Studio requires an administrator to draw a workflow diagram before any agent can execute. xAI claims the broadest out-of-the-box scope among enterprise agent products at this price point, but that scope arrives bundled through Cursor, a product originally built for software developers — a distribution channel that may not reach non-technical buyers in sales and HR, where the use cases most directly apply.

For Context: The AI Agent Adoption Gap Grok Bot Is Targeting

Research from 2026 shows that 99% of businesses plan AI agents but fewer than 10% successfully ship one — a gap driven largely by the configuration overhead required by workflow-builder platforms. Grok Bot’s task-walkthrough onboarding model is a direct response to that gap. xAI’s prior witho2.com coverage focused on model API releases (Grok 4.5 and 4.6) and the xAI–OpenAI legal dispute; Grok Bot is a distinct product category — an enterprise seat product, not an API capability.

    Our Take

xAI is betting businesses will choose an agent that gets instructions by demonstration over one that requires a flowchart. At $120 per seat, that is a credible pitch, and the three-department coverage — sales, ops, HR — gives it a wider claim than Meta Business Agent, which focuses on customer-facing interactions at a similar price. The distribution problem is real: Cursor is known to engineering teams, not to the HR coordinators or sales managers who would benefit most from Grok Bot. Salesforce Agentforce carries higher configuration overhead but sells through enterprise procurement channels where those buyers already operate. Grok Bot is best positioned, for now, in companies that already use Cursor and want to extend its value beyond the engineering team.
