Updated: September 21, 2026 — Salesforce’s post-keynote strategy is now clear: AIforce pushes CRM data, permissions and approved actions into Claude and Slack rather than into the Salesforce interface. ClaudeForce, Slackforce Surfaces availability, and the published deflection numbers are added below.
Salesforce runs Dreamforce 2026 on September 15–17, 2026 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and the company has built the entire event around proving that Agentforce, its autonomous AI agent platform, produces measurable results in production CRM deployments rather than in demos.
Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, delivers the opening keynote, and now shares a confirmed keynote conversation with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei (details below). The program spans 1,600+ breakout sessions, 50+ keynotes, 150+ hands-on trainings, and 240+ community roundtables. A free virtual program runs September 15–18 on Salesforce+ and carries 400+ sessions for buyers who cannot attend in San Francisco. The organizing theme is the “Agentic Enterprise” — Salesforce’s position that AI agents, not human users, become the primary operators of a CRM.
Dreamforce 2026 runs September 15–17 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, with Salesforce’s Agentforce platform now reporting more than $3.9 billion in combined ARR, up 210% year over year. The conference is Salesforce’s live test: whether autonomous CRM agents produce named customer results in production — or whether the keynote delivers demos again while HubSpot and independent AI sales tools compete for the same buyers.
Dreamforce 2026 Keynote Wrap: Koa, AIforce, and Five Announcements That Shift the CRM Calculus
Salesforce’s September 15, 2026 opening keynote at Dreamforce delivered the production evidence that CRM buyers were waiting for. Five announcements — a purpose-built CRM reasoning model, a new integration layer called AIforce, expanded cloud partnerships with Google and AWS, and a named customer outcome from Siemens — changed the competitive picture for any organisation evaluating Salesforce against HubSpot, Zoho, and independent AI sales tools.
Koa: Salesforce’s Own CRM Reasoning Model Built on NVIDIA Nemotron
Salesforce and NVIDIA jointly announced Koa at the keynote — the first reasoning model purpose-built for CRM and post-trained specifically for Agentforce. Salesforce trained Koa by applying supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning via GRPO to NVIDIA’s Nemotron 3 Super open model, using a synthetic dataset built from 27 years of Salesforce CRM deployment patterns across 14-plus industries including manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and travel. No live customer data was used in training.
On Salesforce’s internal CRM benchmark — published on arXiv (arXiv:2609.15066) — Koa matches or exceeds leading general-purpose models on CRM actions while making three times fewer errors. Salesforce controls the model weights and runs inference inside its own infrastructure; customer data does not cross to an external AI provider. Koa is in pilot with six named customers now: 1-800Accountant, Baxter Credit Union, Engine, Formula 1, UChicago Medicine, and Xero. General availability in US regions is scheduled for winter 2026. Pricing has not been announced. Koa also powers Missionforce Operations for government and air-gapped deployments.
“The most valuable thing Salesforce has built isn’t our platform — it’s the accumulated knowledge of how enterprise business actually works. With Koa, the knowledge is put inside the model itself. We trained a reasoning engine that understands the structure of a deal, the lifecycle of a service case, and the workflows that vary across industries.” — Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO, Salesforce
“NVIDIA Nemotron open models give Salesforce the foundation to turn decades of enterprise expertise into specialized AI with Koa, creating a CRM model that can reason and securely take action.” — Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO, NVIDIA
“Accounting requires navigating tax rules, financial data, documents, and the unique circumstances of every customer. Koa gives our agents the reasoning to work through that complexity step by step and use the right tools along the way.” — Ryan Teeples, Chief Strategy Officer, 1-800Accountant
AIforce: A New Layer Connecting Salesforce Logic to External AI Environments
Salesforce announced AIforce alongside Koa — an interface layer that brings Salesforce CRM data and business logic into external AI environments, such as third-party agent platforms, custom LLM applications, and Slack bots, without requiring users to operate inside the Salesforce UI. AIforce completes the architecture that Headless 360 began: Koa reasons, Agentforce acts, and AIforce connects the CRM’s permissions and workflow logic to the outside world through open standards.
Google Cloud Partnership Expanded: Agentforce Plus Gemini Enterprise via MCP
Salesforce expanded its Google Cloud partnership at Dreamforce to integrate Agentforce with Gemini Enterprise via the Model Context Protocol. The expansion lets Salesforce customers route Agentforce tasks to Gemini models, connecting the CRM’s data and permission layer to Google’s enterprise AI stack through MCP rather than a proprietary integration. The move gives Salesforce customers a second major model choice inside Agentforce, alongside Koa and Claude.
AWS Expansion: Amazon Quick, Bedrock Model Choice, and Agentforce Voice
Salesforce’s AWS partnership expanded to three new capabilities at Dreamforce: Amazon Quick (a natural-language query interface for Salesforce data), Bedrock model choice (which allows Agentforce to route tasks to AWS-hosted foundation models), and Agentforce Voice (AI-driven voice interaction delivered over AWS infrastructure). The three moves deepen Salesforce’s multi-cloud posture and give enterprise buyers additional model optionality without exiting the Agentforce platform.
Siemens: 100% Inbound Lead Engagement — The Named Production Outcome
Siemens AG CEO Roland Busch appeared at the keynote and reported that Agentforce agents now handle 100% of inbound lead engagement for qualifying segments — every new inbound lead receives an immediate AI-driven response rather than queuing for a human sales representative. Salesforce cited the Siemens result as a named production outcome, the type of customer case study that the analyst community, including Thomas Morgan of Salesforce Ben, had flagged as missing from previous Dreamforce events.
AIforce: Salesforce Moves CRM Into Claude and Slack Instead of Its Own Interface
Salesforce positioned AIforce at Dreamforce 2026 as the umbrella for its agentic user experiences, a strategy that delivers customer data, business rules, permissions, workflows and approved actions into the AI tools where employees already work — starting with Anthropic’s Claude and with Slack — rather than inside the Salesforce application itself. Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, described AIforce on stage as an “interface revolution” and said “AIforce is here to unlock trapped value from anywhere.”
The strategic claim underneath AIforce is a division of labour between the model and the CRM. A reasoning model works through a customer issue; Salesforce’s permissions, business rules and workflows determine what data that model can read and what action it is allowed to take. AIforce is the layer joining the two. Salesforce framed the boundary in a single line: “AI reasoning can be open-ended, but enterprise execution often cannot.”
ClaudeForce: Sales Cloud Operating Inside Claude Enterprise
ClaudeForce is Salesforce’s integration with Anthropic’s Claude Enterprise, and it lets employees ask Claude for Salesforce context — account information, customer history, or recommended next steps — and take authorized action without opening the conventional Salesforce interface. Patrick Stokes, President of Applications and Marketing at Salesforce, demonstrated Sales Cloud operating inside Claude during the keynote, including a digital version of co-founder Parker Harris. Salesforce said the setup takes six to eight minutes, a vendor figure no independent deployment has yet verified. The architecture extends the 37 prebuilt skills we documented when Salesforce shipped 37 sales skills inside Claude with no CRM app required, moving from skills that answer questions to actions that write back to the CRM.
Slackforce Surfaces: Slackbot Builds Live CRM Dashboards on Request
Slackforce Surfaces lets a user ask Slackbot in plain language for a live interface — a dashboard, a report, or an executive HTML deck — built from Salesforce records, Slack history, and any other connected enterprise data, under that user’s existing permissions. The surface stays connected to its source data and refreshes as a pipeline changes or a case closes, and teams explore, filter and comment on it inside the Slack channel where the work is happening. Salesforce shipped Slackforce Surfaces to customers on Enterprise+, Business+, Pro, Legacy, and Free Teams plans with Slackbot enabled, and said the live-data refresh begins rolling out in October 2026. Parker Harris, Salesforce co-founder, set the target for this work six months before Dreamforce: “You may never log in to Salesforce again.”
What Salesforce Sells Once Buyers Stop Opening Salesforce
Salesforce’s answer is that the product was never the screens. The company placed its durable value in the data, metadata, permissions, business rules, workflows, security controls and audit trails that govern what any agent is permitted to do — assets that keep earning when the interface belongs to Anthropic or Slack. Three governance components carry that argument: the Trusted Enterprise AI Harness, the AI Control Plane, and zero-data-retention protections. With agents acting across Salesforce, Slack, Claude, contact-center systems and third-party applications, an auditable record of what an agent accessed, what it did, and why becomes the control buyers are actually purchasing.
The Deflection Numbers — and the Three Questions They Leave Open
Salesforce published two production figures at Dreamforce 2026: Fin, its cross-channel customer agent, resolves 79% of the Anthropic conversations it handles autonomously, and the help agent at Engine fully resolves 50% of chat inquiries. Neither figure shows whether customers had their problem solved on first contact, whether they later reopened the issue through another channel, or whether escalation to a human improved. Rob Scott of CX Today flagged that gap in reporting from the event. Buyers evaluating Slack or Claude as a CRM surface should also note what Salesforce did not announce: CX Today listed Microsoft Teams among the AI interfaces Salesforce intends CRM to operate inside, but Salesforce named no Teams integration, date or product at the keynote. The shipped surfaces are Slack, Claude, Amazon Quick and Gemini Enterprise.
Dreamforce 2026 Keynote Lineup Confirmed: Benioff, Amodei, Headless 360, Agent Security
Salesforce confirmed four keynote details on the eve of Dreamforce 2026 that matter to CRM buyers: Marc Benioff shares a keynote conversation with Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, a developer keynote centers on Headless 360, the Security Keynote runs Tuesday September 15 at 2:15 PM PT, and Salesforce in Claude is expected to enter open beta around the event.
Benioff and Amodei share the stage
Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce, and Dario Amodei, Co-Founder and CEO of Anthropic, appear together in a keynote conversation, according to Salesforce’s confirmed speaker list. The session follows the August 26 Claudeforce announcement and positions Claude as the default reasoning model across Agentforce, Slack, and Data 360. For buyers, the joint appearance answers a procurement question: Salesforce is committing to Anthropic as its primary model partner rather than hedging across vendors. Other confirmed guest speakers include Siemens AG CEO Roland Busch, Lovable CEO Anton Osika, and UAE AI Minister Omar Sultan Al Olama.
Headless 360 keynote: CRM, Data 360, and Slack as APIs for any agent
Headless 360 is a Salesforce platform layer that exposes CRM data, workflows, permissions, and business logic to external AI agents through open standards rather than through the Salesforce UI.
The developer keynote, led by Salesforce developer advocate Christophe Coenraets per the Developer’s Guide to Dreamforce 2026, demonstrates Headless 360, which exposes CRM, Data 360, and Slack as APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools that any AI agent can call — from Agentforce, Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor. The confirmed components are a Headless 360 MCP Server and Headless Experience Layer (both in open beta), plus a Data 360 MCP Server, a Slackbot MCP Server and Client, and more than 100 Agent Skills (all generally available). The Slackbot MCP Client connects to more than 20 partner applications, such as Atlassian, Box, Docusign, Notion, and Zoom, while inheriting the organisation’s existing permissions. The buyer implication: Salesforce is pricing its data and workflow layer for use by agents outside its own UI, which weakens the seat-based lock-in argument that HubSpot and ServiceNow have been attacking.
Security Keynote: Tuesday September 15, 2:15 PM PT
The Security Keynote, titled “Trust Across Agents, Data, and Platforms”, runs Tuesday, September 15 at 2:15 PM PT in Moscone West, per the Salesforce Security team’s September 4 blog post on Trust & Security at Dreamforce 2026. Salesforce product and security leaders cover governing agents in production and what the company calls the next evolution in securely managing agents. It sits inside a block of 30+ security sessions, such as “Secure Headless Salesforce Implementations” and “What’s Next for Salesforce Security: Roadmap Readiness”. Buyers running Agentforce in regulated sectors should treat this keynote, not the main keynote, as the session that determines whether MCP-connected agents pass a security review.
The numbers Salesforce brings into the keynote
Salesforce enters Dreamforce 2026 with Agentforce annual recurring revenue above $1.5 billion, up more than 240% year over year, and combined Agentforce plus Data 360 ARR of nearly $3.9 billion, up more than 210%, according to its second-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings release of August 26, 2026. The company reported 3.2 billion Agentic Work Units in the quarter and 7 billion to date, and Slackbot users grew more than 150% quarter over quarter. These are the figures the keynote will cite; the customer numbers behind them, such as PenFed’s projected $1.6 million saving from a 76-agent deployment, are what buyers should press for.
Salesforce in Claude open beta expected at Dreamforce
Salesforce in Claude, the plugin that ships 37 prebuilt sales skills inside Anthropic’s Claude, is available to select pilot customers and is expected to enter open beta in September 2026, according to Salesforce’s Claudeforce announcement. The open beta is expected to go live at or around Dreamforce. Pricing, packaging, and regional availability remain unpublished as of September 14, 2026 — the first of the three things we said to watch for.
Why Agentforce Is on Trial at Dreamforce 2026
Dreamforce 2026 is the first Agentforce event where Salesforce must show production ROI instead of capability demos, because the platform has now been shipping for two years. Salesforce unveiled Agentforce at Dreamforce in September 2024, and Benioff set a public target of 1 billion agents deployed by the end of 2025. Adoption has grown across the ecosystem, but published customer case studies carrying hard numbers have not kept pace.
“Dreamforce 2026 feels like another big moment for Agentforce. This year has seen the conversation change from ‘what can Agentforce do?’ to ‘where is the real-world value?’” — Thomas Morgan, Salesforce Ben, August 21, 2026
Three Announcements That Prove Whether Agentforce Works in Production
Three announcements determine whether Dreamforce 2026 changes a CRM shortlist: published agent pricing, named customer results, and competitive positioning against HubSpot. Pricing matters most, because per-conversation and per-resolution agent billing makes total cost of ownership hard to forecast at renewal. Named customer results matter second, because they convert Agentforce from a roadmap item into a procurement-defensible line item. Competitive positioning matters third: Agentforce now sells against HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot for Sales, and independent AI sales tools such as Gong and Clay.
Three product areas carry the most weight for buyers. Service Cloud is the most mature Agentforce deployment surface and the likeliest source of real case-study numbers. Revenue Cloud, which now includes a Revenue Agent, moves Salesforce directly into HubSpot’s mid-market territory. Slack is the third, because Salesforce has already made Claude the default AI model inside it. As of September 14, 2026, the confirmed reveals are the Headless 360 MCP stack and the Salesforce in Claude open beta (see the keynote lineup above) — treat any other pre-event rumour as unverified until the keynote.
How Claudeforce Sets Up the Dreamforce Agenda
Salesforce announced Claudeforce on August 26, 2026, putting Anthropic’s Claude inside the CRM as a reasoning model with 37 prebuilt sales skills. The announcement functions as the pre-Dreamforce warm-up: it establishes the architecture Salesforce will expand on stage, pairing a probabilistic reasoning model with the CRM’s deterministic rules engine.
“Probabilistic intelligence alone doesn’t run a company, and deterministic systems don’t reason.” — Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce
For Context: Our Agentforce Coverage
Our reporting through August 2026 tracked the pricing and packaging decisions that Dreamforce 2026 will build on. We covered Salesforce and Anthropic launching Claudeforce with 37 AI skills on August 26, the move to per-resolution billing when Agentforce Help Agent reached general availability, and Agentforce Commerce selling through ChatGPT. Salesforce’s own research, reported in enterprise AI agent deployments tripling in a year, supplies the adoption baseline against which Dreamforce 2026 claims should be measured.
